Nebraska Public Power District’s (NPPD) wholesale electric rates continue to rank among the most affordable in the nation. In 2016, NPPD began benchmarking its wholesale rates against others in the nation, utilizing a database maintained by the National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation (CFC).

Bulldogs Drop First Home Game to Wildcats

The Ainsworth football team hosted its first game of the season on Friday, August 29, against a tough Hartington-Newcastle team. Several Bulldogs played well, including the likes of senior quarterback Chris Fernandez, who had 90 rushing yards and a touchdown, and sophomore Jacob Ortner, who had 129 yards gained along with a touchdown.

Volleyball Team Competes in Busy First Week

The Ainsworth volleyball team saw several teams in its first week of competition. The Bulldogs competed against Valentine and Cody-Kilgore in the 2025 Jamboree hosted by Valentine on Tuesday, August 26.

Ainsworth Cross Country Team Holds Annual Chicken Run

The Ainsworth Cross Country team held its annual race for the golden chicken in Ainsworth’s East City Park. Blake Hansmeyer completed the middle school mile the fastest, while Holden Beel and Reagan Moody were the top male and female high school runners of the day.
