Work began August 4 on Nebraska Highway 97 (N-97), from reference post 127.45 to reference post 134.25, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. Knife River Midwest, of Sioux City, Iowa, is the contractor for this project.

Nebraska’s unemployment rate for June is 3.0 percent. The rate is unchanged from May and is up 0.2 percentage points from the June 2024 rate of 2.8 percent.

Cory Brodbeck claimed the top spot Thursday during men’s league golf at the Ainsworth Golf Course with a 1-under par round of 35. Brodbeck finished one shot clear of Nick Martin, who carded an even-par round of 36. Cody Goochey posted a round of 38, followed by Cam Palmer with a round of 39.
