At the beginning of September, a young man murdered four people and wounded seven others with gunfire at Apalachee High School in Barrow County, Georgia. This terrible crime did not just impact people in that school or that community. It naturally scared parents across the country. Following the shooting, there was a wave of social media scares and copycat threats that created some disruption even as far away as schools here in Nebraska.

City of Ainsworth Armor Coats Several Streets on September 25th

Several Ainsworth streets were armor coated on Wednesday, September 25th. Hot armor was spread over the streets and then crews went over it with a coat of gravel. Streets armor coated were from First Street, from Pine Street to East City Park, Second and Third Streets from Pine Street to Richardson Drive, Harrington Street between Highway 20 and First Street, Park Street between First and Third streets along with Plainsman Drive between Harrington Street and Richardson Drive.
