    Long Pine City Council met in regular session on Thursday, February 7th with all councilmen Linda Alberts, Dave Cheatum, Bryan Sanford and Andrea Collatos, present. Reports Tanya Storer approached the council to let them know she is a candidate running for the Nebraska Legislature District 43.

    Ainsworth Community Schools to Withdraw from Southwest Conference

    Withdrawal from SWC During the regular meeting of the Ainsworth Community Schools Board of Education on Monday, February 12th, the board had received permission from the superintendents involved in the Southwest Conference to withdrawal from the SWC effective after the 2023-2024 school year. After open discussion at the January 9, 2024 regular school board meeting, it was clear the Ainsworth Board would be ready to entertain a motion to formally withdrawal from the Southwest Conference.
