The National Park Service at the Niobrara National Scenic River is celebrating 35 years on the Niobrara. An art show was held to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Niobrara National Scenic River.
Most awarded Trio in Gospel Music Coming to Prairie View Gospel Barn

Prairie View Gospel Barn is excited to have one of the top rated Southern Gospel groups coming to perform on Sunday, July 19, 2026. Greater Vision has been nominated for the following Singing News Fan Awards for 2026: Favorite trio, favorite tenor, favorite lead, favorite musician, favorite songwriter, favorite album and favorite artist.
NPPD Hosting Second Open Houses for Ainsworth Wind-Bassett Transmission Line

Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) will host two open houses on July 22 in Ainsworth and Bassett to gather public input for a new transmission project in the area. The open house sessions are informal and offer an opportunity to review project information and visit with project team members.
Former Ainsworth Resident Timothy Moylan Publishes Memoir

Former Ainsworth resident Timothy Harold Moylan announced the pre-order his deeply personal memoir, 'Rock Bottom Has a Basement: From the Bottle to Borrowed Time' on July 1. More than simply a story about alcoholism, the book is an honest account of addiction, depression, broken relationships, near-death experiences, faith, and ultimately finding hope through recovery.

Needlework, Woodwork, Hobbies, Scrapbooking All Fun Entries at the Brown County Fair

Judges had fun judging the exhibits in the Needlework Division consisting of needlework, hobbies, quilting, carvings, sewn items, Legos and much more. Superintendent Evelyn Jones stated the entries were down this year, but if you looked around there were still some nice items on display. The following were presented a blue, red or white sticker.

Housewife Superintendent Audrey Wilson announced the Blue and Red Winners from the Brown County Fair. Entry numbers were down from 2022. Some of the items in this division included breads, cookies, canned fruit, jams and jellies, canned vegetables, pickles and miscellaneous item.
