During the regular meeting of the Brown County Commissioners on August 15th, Jeep Cozad presented the budget request for the Brown County Rural Fire Protection District. Cozad said the district is requesting a 3 cent per $100.00 in valuation tax request again this year.

The Sixth Annual Ainsworth Booster Club’s Bulldog Pride Fundraiser was held on Friday, August 18th at the Ainsworth Conference Center. The meal was provided by the Elks Lodge. The event was a huge success. After totalling up the funds raised from the meals, live and silent auctions and attendees playing games, the Booster Club raised $33,000.00.

A regular meeting of the Brown County Hospital (BCH) Board of Trustees was held Monday, July 31, 2023. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Kirk Peterson, at 3:00 p.m. Other members in attendance were Brent Deibler and Brian Delimont. Tate Schipporeit and John Gross were excused. Also attending was Mirya Hallock- CEO, Tad Stearns - CFO, Lisa Fischer - HR, Brandy Bussinger - DON, and Tawny Allen -Recording Secretary. Devyn France, Sara Kubik, Sandy Whitehead, and Ruth Stephens - Consultant attended. Dr. Wasmund joined the meeting at 3:15 p.m. Dr. Campbell joined the meeting at 3:49 p.m.
