Eleven Ainsworth Bulldog Athletes made the journey to Omaha for the 2023 NSAA State Track Meet on May 19th and 20th at Burke Stadium. The Ainsworth Girls Track Team qualified seven athletes in six events.

The weekend of May 5-7 marked an exciting milestone in the treatment of children with mental health disorders in our area. Hillary Goodwin FNP-C was one of 45 primary care providers from across the state gathered to increase their knowledge to better address the mental and behavioral health needs of children and teens in their care.

Shawna Fernau, a native of Ainsworth, was recently initiated into the Morningside University Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society. The Society welcomed 1,869 new initiates from 78 universities during April 2023.

Sonja Corkle of Bassett, Nebraska, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Corkle was initiated at University of Nebraska at Kearney.

The Ainsworth Busy Club put on a Trashion Show at the Ainsworth Senior Center on Thursday, May 18th to help raise funds for the Center. Outfits of slacks, tops, skirts, dresses, hats and jewelry that they modeled, were purchased at the Ainsworth Thrift Store or from garage sales. Models for the day included (left to right): Alice Prososki, Barb Fling, Nancy Falk, Karen Herring, Patty Nelson, Carol Larson, Maxine Matter, Marilyn Baker, Bev Stahl and Cheri Bowen.
