The AHS Boys Golf Team competed in a triangular with North Central and Valentine at the Bassett Country Club on Thursday, April 28th. They edged out home-team North Central for a second place team finish, and only outscored Valentine by twelve points.

The Ainsworth Lions Club hosted the 54th Annual AHS All-Sports Tailgate Party on Tuesday, April 26th to honor Ainsworth High School athletes for their accomplishments this past year. Special awards were presented by coaches and administration to outstanding athletes in the following sports: 2020-21 Girls Track: MVP – Kaitlyn Nelson.

Mother’s Day is a holiday honoring motherhood that is observed in different forms throughout the world. In the United States, Mother’s Day 2022 will occur on Sunday, May 8th. The American incarnation of Mother’s Day was created by Anna Jarvis in 1908 and became an official U.S. holiday in 1914. Jarvis would later denounce the holiday’s commercialization and spent the latter part of her life trying to remove it from the calendar. While dates and celebrations vary, Mother’s Day traditionally involves presenting moms with flowers, cards and other gifts.
