Low scramble scores for Ainsworth Women’s League Golf on August 11th were; 37 – Kathy Worrell and Julie Micheel; 37 – Brenda Konkoleski, Danielle Palmer, Chelsey Peterson and Rylee Pierce; 38 – Ann Hoch, Jen Martin and Wendy Wilkins; and a 39 – Rhonda Theis, Rachel Williams and Kari Kenner.

With four weeks of Men’s League Golf remaining, the team of Shane Kinnick, Dane Sears and Dallas Fowler remain in first place with a team score of 57 points in the Ainsworth Men’s League Golf on Thursday, August 12th.

On August 7th the 16th Annual Dennis Roggasch Memorial Horseshoe tournament was pitched at the Rock County Fairgrounds. This annual event is part of the Rock County Fair activities.

Ainsworth High School’s Girls Golf Team will hit the road on Thursday, August 19th when they travel to O’Neill for their seasonopening invitational. The AHS Girls Golf head coach is Heather Lutter, who now has eight years of coaching girls golf under her belt.

The team of Shane Kinnick, Dane Sears and Dallas Fowler continues in first place with a team score of 57 points in the Ainsworth Men’s League Golf on Thursday, August 5th. Remaining in second place with 51 points was the team of Vance Heyer, Joel Klammer and Jade Egle.

The Ainsworth Pink Ladies Dart League were host to the Ainsworth Pink Ladies 4-Person Golf Tournament on Saturday, August 7th at the Ainsworth Municipal Golf Course. Nine teams participated in the tournament. Winners were:

In an annual event featuring the top golfers from the Ainsworth Golf Course and the Bassett Country Club, the two teams competed in the Border Cup at the Bassett Country Club on Saturday, August 7th. Ainsworth had a slim one-point lead of 8 - 7 heading into the singles matches and managed to win eight of the ten singles matches to retain the Border Cup, 16 - 9.

Ainsworth City Council to Meet The Ainsworth City Council will meet in regular session on Wednesday, August 11th at 5:00 p.m. at the Ainsworth Conference Center.
