Last week, the Dawgs knocked off the Stuart Broncos and the Gothenburg Swedes to give themselves a 15-7 (68%) record with only one regular season game remaining before subdistrict play. On Tuesday, February 8th, the Bulldogs beat the 13-6 Broncos in Stuart by a 15-point margin.

In their final week of regular season games, the 2021-22 Ainsworth Bulldogs girls basketball team took a W home from Stuart on Tuesday, but were served an L on Friday when they hosted Gothenburg, giving AHS a 15-8 (65%) season record heading into subdistricts.

The NSAA Girls Wrestling District 3 tournament was held on Friday and Saturday, February 4th and 5th at Gothenburg High School. Jolyn Pozehl, wrestling in the 114 lb.

The 2022 Southwest Conference Wrestling Tournament was held in McAndrew Gymnasium in Ainsworth on Thursday, February 4th. Eight SWC teams competed in the tournament.

After a few days of recovery from their Southwest Conference tournament, the Dawgs were back at balling on Friday, February 4th. They traveled to Dunning for a match against the Sandhills/Thedford Knights.

The Sandhills Cattle Association announces the 2022 scholarship applications are now open. SCA will be offering $9,000.00 in scholarships for 2022.

The Workforce Development Office at Northeast Community College will offer a series of professional opportunities in the coming weeks in Ainsworth to ensure that employees have up-to-date training which is essential to any successful business plan. Becoming a Northeast Nebraska Workforce Partner will put business owners and supervisors in a position to jump ahead of the competition by maximizing their training investment.

The AHS Bulldogs played in the Southwest Conference girls basketball tournament last week, beginning with a home game against the 8-8 McCook Bison, on Monday, January 24th. Ainsworth was seeded #4 and McCook was #5.
