With the weather warming up, now is the time to think about how you want your yard to serve your family, pets and wildlife. Maybe you’re aiming to have the best yard on the block, want to install an outdoor family room or outdoor office, or want to expand your space for entertaining.

During our most recent family movie night, we watched one of my favorites: Encanto. At one point in the movie, a character who has been gifted supernatural strength confesses that she fears she will crumble under the weight of all that is expected from her.

Measles cases are on the rise in the United States. A total of 45 cases of measles in 16 states and New York City have been reported to the CDC as of last week.

University of Nebraska Interim President Chris Kabourek announced that he has appointed Dennis Leblanc, executive associate AD for academics, to serve as interim athletic director. Leblanc has been with Husker Athletics for more than 40 years, having joined in 1983 as a member of the track and field staff.

The American Legion Auxiliary and Sons will celebrate the American Legion’s Birthday with a Pot Luck Supper on Tuesday, March 26th at 6:30 p.m. at the Post Home.

Lunch Chef Salad Available Daily Thursday, March 21st: Meatloaf, 3-bean salad, sweet potatoes, pears, muffin and milk. Friday, March 22nd: Fish fillet, potato wedges, California blend veggies, jell-o with fruit, biscuit and milk.

Thought for the week: Take the high road. It’s not the easiest road, but it offers the best view.
