Measles Cases on the Rise in United States

Measles cases are on the rise in the United States. A total of 45 cases of measles in 16 states and New York City have been reported to the CDC as of last week.

Dennis Leblanc Named Interim Husker AD

University of Nebraska Interim President Chris Kabourek announced that he has appointed Dennis Leblanc, executive associate AD for academics, to serve as interim athletic director. Leblanc has been with Husker Athletics for more than 40 years, having joined in 1983 as a member of the track and field staff.

American Legion Auxiliary Essay Contest was Won by César Guichard Mingo

César Guichard Mingo a 7th grade student at Ainsworth Community Schools wrote an article for the Ainsworth American Legion Auxiliary’s Americanism Essay Contest and was chosen as the winner. This is what is speech said: For me, freedom is that all people in a society, city or country can decide, think and act freely without fear of being discriminated against or even executed. This was established in the First Amendment to the United States Constitution in 1791. Many things in the USA symbolize freedom like the American Flag, bald eagle, military, government, and much more.
