Alpha Delta Chapter and Member Win Awards

Small, but mighty! This describes Alpha Delta Chapter. There are only ten members; however, most meetings have more than fifty percent in attendance. Several members hold state offices and/or serve on state committees. These are among the reasons this chapter was awarded the 2023 Nebraska State Chapter Achievement Award at the April Nebraska State Convention during the Founders’/Presidents’ Banquet. One member was “totally shocked” when she was awarded the Nebraska State Individual Achievement Award, just after her chapter had won!

Work Will Begin on US-183 South of Springview

Weather permitting, work will begin May 15 on US-183 south of Springview, from reference post 207.11 to reference post 211.47, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. Western Engineering Company, Inc.

Thought for the week: “Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.” Anatole France We have been blessed with rain and no storms the last part of this last week. I have heard around three inches of rain in the area. It is wonderful to see water on the meadows. We were very fortunate not to have storms because Friday there was a report of 50 tornados warnings in Nebraska some as close as Chambers. There were report of seven inches of rain in western Nebraska.
