Arlene Kay (McNally) Klein was born October 12, 1943 to J.W. and Verda McNally in Ainsworth, NE and went to her heavenly home on December 22, 2021 in her home in O’Neill, NE.
Arlene attended school in Ainsworth and graduated with the class of 1963. After graduation Arlene moved to Lincoln to begin her work in the surgical department of Bryan Memorial Hospital, retiring after fifty years of service.
Arlene was united in marriage to Ralph R. Klein, Sr. and continued residence in Lincoln. After Ralph’s death in 1988 and her retirement she moved to O’Neill in 2013 to be closer to family.
Arlene was an avid reader, game show watcher and Big Red football fan. As a devoted Christian, Arlene was an active member in the O’Neill United Methodist Church. Nieces and nephews could always count on her to remember them on their birthdays with a card and money equal to their ages.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Verda McNally; husband, Ralph Klein, Sr.; brothers, Harold, Orel, Donald (Thelma) and Dale (Maxine); nephews, Ron, Mike, Steve and Carey McNally.
Arlene is survived by nieces, Sandra (Randy) Rowan of Mills, NE, Martha McNally of Columbus, GA and Cindy McNally of Ainsworth, NE; nephews, Mark McNally of Ainsworth, NE and David (DiAnn) McNally of Springfield, MO; sister-in-law, Connie McNally of Ainsworth, NE; great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Lincoln, NE.
