Carolyn Kay Keim was born November 4, 1942, to Ralph and Gwen Keim at the Ainsworth Hospital. She passed away on March 15, 2025, at Bryan Memorial West Hospital. She grew up on a farm on the Niobrara River, one mile from the Meadville General Store, where her grandparents lived and ran the store. Carolyn was a born farm girl, she loved the outdoor life and helping her father farm. She loved her horses, Silver and Flaxie. She graduated in 1960 from Ainsworth High School and went to Kearney State Teachers College, where she met John Wenburg from Cozad, Nebraska. They married on May 5, 1962. To this union, three children were born: Johnna, Jill, and John Keim. Besides being busy raising her three children, Carolyn was an excellent homemaker, traveled, and furthered her education as a Mental Health Practitioner.

Carolyn loved 4H, school, being at the store, and most of all she loved being a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her mom Gwen, dad Ralph, and her brother Clark.

She is survived by her children Johnna Jackson and Jackson Marx; Jill Wenburg and her two daughters, Mikayla (Daniel) Boyle, Cally Dorff, and great gra ndchild, Vianna Boyle; and John Keim Wenburg (Kelsey) from Alaska; sister, Merry Lynne Maxwell; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and special friends, Hazel Platt of Ainsworth, Jeannie Keim of Shelby, and Karen DeBrown of Lincoln. As per her wishes, there will be no funeral and private services will be held at a later date.
