A Memorial Service for Cynthia L. “Cindy” Smith, age 76, of Ainsworth, NE will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ainsworth United Methodist Church. A Private Family Inurnment will occur in the Giles Cemetery at Elsmere, NE at a later date. Cindy Smith died Saturday, September 7, 2024 in the Community Memorial Health Center in Burwell, NE.
Survivors include, husband, Malcolm Smith of Ainsworth; four children, George (Kim) Smith of Elsmere, Elizabeth (Justin) Berkland of Lincoln, NE, Sarah Smith of Rock Springs, WY and Chester (Andra) Smith of Elsmere; six grandchildren; sister, Alyce Ann Clasen of Hot Springs, SD; sister-in-law, Allegra Penington of Lincoln; brother-in-law, Gary Trego of North Platte, NE; along with nieces, nephews and other family members.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the Ainsworth Public Library or the United Methodist Church in Cindy’s name.
