Funeral service for longtime Ainsworth businessman, Gerald W. “Jerry” Allen, Jr. age 90 of Ainsworth was held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Ainsworth. Cremation will follow services and a private family inurnment will be held at a later date in the Greenwood Cemetery at Creighton, NE.
Jerry and his wife, Mary Ann, owned and operated the Gambles and Hardware Hank Stores in Ainsworth for 35 years.
Jerry Allen died Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the Brown County Hospital in Ainsworth.
Survivors include wife, Mary Ann Allen of Ainsworth; three children, Sarah (Matthew) Hnatov of Potomac, MD; Jerry (Patti) Allen III of Omaha, NE; and Margaret (Neal) McInturf of Beaver City, NE; seven grandchildren and two great-grandsons; nieces, nephews and other family members.
