Memorial Graveside Services for Harry A. “Bill” Babcock, Jr., age 91, of Bassett, will be held on Wednesday, July 9, at 2 p.m. at the Grandview Cemetery in Long Pine. Military Honors are to be conducted by Bassett American Legion Post #123. Bill Babcock passed away February 23 at the Rock County Hospital Long Term Care in Bassett. Survivors include: three children, Deb Frank and husband Tom of Bassett, Lori Runyon and husband Frank of Onamia, Minn., and William “Bill” Babcock and wife Teresa of Long Pine; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sister Lorene “Reenie” Mercier of Grant; sister-in-law Mary Babcock of Spokane, Wash.; along with nieces, nephews and other family members. Those attending services are asked to please wear casual attire. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the St. Jude’s Memorial Foundation or to the donor’s choice in Bill’s name.
