James Henry “Rudy” Rudnick, 75, of Grand Island, passed away on Friday, January 30.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, February 6, at All Faiths Funeral Home.
Service and celebration of Rudy’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, at All Faiths Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the service and burial of ashes will be at Grand Island City Cemetery at a later date.
Rudy was born April 28, 1950, in Ainsworth, to Theodore and Wilma (Huggins) Rudnick.
He grew up and received his education in Ainsworth. Rudy went on to complete his Associate of Applied Arts Degree in Machine
Tool Technology at SCC Milford Campus. In 1972 he moved to Grand Island to work at Sperry New Holland as a Manufacturing Engineer. After 35 years with the company, he retired from Case New Holland in 2007.
On August 3, 1974, Rudy married Jaqueline “Jackie” Chambers. They made their home and raised their daughters in Grand Island.
Rudy was a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast and was employed part-time with Nebraska Cycle/Harley Davidson Central for many
years.
Those who cherish his memory include his wife Jackie; daughters Jamie (Corey) Ivy of Colorado and Jennifer Rudnick of Arizona; granddaughter Hannah Ivy; and sister Katherine Schmidt.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
