Jerry Oren Jackman, 75

Jerry Oren Jackman, age 75, of York, NE died on Monday, January 20, 2025 in York. He was born on March 4, 1949 to Oren and Bernada (Schelm) Jackman in Ainsworth, NE. On March 8, 1980, Jerry was united in marriage to Marilyn Kemper in Ainsworth.

Jerry was a long-time farmer and rancher near Johnstown, NE and was a member of the Alpha Gamma Sigma Fraternity in Lincoln. He was a former member of the Brown County Ag Society and enjoyed golfing and was a member of the York Country Club. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn of York; children, Chad (Tanya) Jackman of Lincoln, NE, Geri (Mark) Bartholomew of Utica, NE, Melanie Behrens of Lincoln and Matt (LaDonna) Jackman of Kenesaw, NE; grandchildren, Logan and Mason Jackman of Lincoln, Mya, Elliot and Ronan Bartholomew of Utica, Brock See of Lincoln, Jaydn Jackman of Kenesaw; siblings, Jim (Connie) Jackman of Johnstown, NE, Don (Deb) Jackman of Ridgefield, WA and Carole Schemm of Valentine, NE.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Jim Behrens. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York. Burial followed in the Greenwood Cemetery, York.
