Jimmie M. Howard was born on February 3, 1959 in Omaha, NE to James and Eunice (McNamee) Howard of Ainsworth, NE. Jimmie passed away at the age of 62 in his home on September 1, 2021 after a long series of health complications.
Jimmie led an adventurous life in his younger years, growing up in the Cody/ Kilgore area. Jimmie helped his father work on various ranches in Cherry County which led to his fascination of hunting rattlesnakes, bull riding and saddle bronc riding. Later in life, Jimmie traveled the country
Later in life, Jimmie traveled the country with Baumann and Merriams Midway Shows running the Tilt-A-Whirl until his health declined and he was unable to travel. He was then able to help take care of his niece, Shelby and nephew, Derek where you would find them playing baseball daily in the backyard, playing board games, jamming out to music and styling their hair with mousse to look like his.
Most will remember him walking his Husky “Ozzy” around Ainsworth. The family will remember him being their personal weatherman, his love for photography and music and fixing anything for them with duct tape. Although his health issues made it difficult for him to go visit friends and family, he sure enjoyed company stopping by or calling as he always had a story to tell.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Eunice Howard.
