Funeral Service for Katherine M. “Katie” Anderson, age 96 and Norris D. Anderson, age 90 both of Long Pine, NE will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Pius X Catholic Church in Ainsworth, NE. A Private Family Interment will occur in the afternoon in the Grandview Cemetery at Long Pine with Military Honors by Ainsworth American Legion Post #79. Katie Anderson passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024 at the Rock County Hospital Long Term Care in Bassett, NE and Norris Anderson died November 26, 2018 in Omaha, NE.
Survivors include daughters, Paula (Jim) Welke of Long Pine and Julianne Sevening Morris of Omaha,NE; five grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren; along with nieces, nephews and other family members Visitations for Katie and Norris Anderson will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. in the Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to the Long Pine Fire Department or to the family in their names for a future designation.
