Lela passed peacefully in her sleep. She was a blessing on this earth for 99 years. Lela was born to Everett and Norma Dawson in Meadville on July 14, 1925, on her grandfather’s homestead. She married Harold Adams in 1943 and moved to California in 1955. After retirement they moved to Washington. She split her final years between Washington, Texas and California.
She is survived by her son Joel Adams and wife Mary; daughter Linda Rau; grandchildren Paul Thomas and wife Laura, Christine Cochran and h usband S teve, S hawn A dams a nd w ife A llison; g reat grandchildren Paige Thomas and Jack Thomas; her treasured sister Marylin (Dawson) Turner; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold Kraus Adams, brother Evert Neil Dawson, and sister Belva Jean (Dawson) Foster.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to make donations to Linda Rau for the benefit of Crystal Springs Senior Care and the hospice nurses that were so kind to Lela.
