Ronny Donald Roggasch was born to Dennis and Eleanor (Davis) Roggasch at Atkinson, NE, on October 27, 1967. He passed away at his residence in Papillion, NE on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at the age of 55 years, nine months and five days.

Ronny lived on his family’s ranch with his parents and brother, Randy. He enjoyed being outside with all the animals. His love of horseback riding was always a special treat. Ronny attended school in Bassett and then later in Wayne and Omaha, NE. Ronny was baptized in the United Methodist Church in Bassett in November of 1967.

Ronny touched many lives and was such an inspiration to others in his acceptance of health problems and pain all his life. Testimony has been given by doctors, nurses, teachers, relatives and friends that Ronny’s spirit of acceptance and love helped make them better people, as they witnessed his special spirit. He gave love so freely and could light up a room with his infectious smile. He overcame many obstacles through his life. In knowing him, his friends and family learned stronger faith and richer love.

Ronny was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Eleanor Roggasch.

Those left to mourn his passing are his brother, Randy Roggasch of Omaha; his loving caregivers, Potenciana, Ivory and family of Papillion; uncle and aunt, Don and Mary Roggasch of Rose, NE; aunt, Regina Brockley of Lincoln, NE; along with numerous other family members and friends.

Funeral Services were held Monday, August 7, 2023 at the Methodist Church in Bassett with Pastor Jenice Epp officiating at the service. The CD selections were “Angels Among Us” by Alabama, “How Great Thou Art” and “Take My Hand, Precious Lord” by Elvis Presley and “When I Get Where I’m Going” by Brad Paisley and Dolly Parton. Active and Honorary Casketbearers were Mike Davis, Scott Stec, Bryan Stec, Mike Brockley, Brad Brockley, Jeremy Roggasch, Tim Roggasch, Ryan Roggasch, Bruce Spilker and John Robertson. Interment followed in the Grandview Cemetery at Long Pine, NE. Memorials were suggested to the family in Ronny’s name for a future designation.
