Memorial Service for Russell L. “Rusty” Strand, age 70, of Ainsworth will be held on Saturday, June 14 at 1 p.m. in the Purdum United Church of Christ. A Private Family inurnment will be held on the former family ranch. Rusty Strand died on April 15 at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney.
Survivors include: son Clint Strand of Austin, Texas; daughter Tory Strand of Winder, Ga..; mother of his children, Connie Strand of Grand Island; siblings Jeannie Haskell of Valentine, Margaret Ann Sellers of North Platte, Julie (Scott) Correll of North Platte, and Dan (Lisa) Strand of Gothenburg; sister-in-law Susan Strand of Hastings; along with nieces, nephews and other family members.
Memorials may be made to the family in Rusty’s name.
