William D. Armold, “Bill”, 92, of Lincoln, passed away February 15. Born May 16, 1933, in Holdrege, to Rev. John and D’Alta (David) Armold.

Bill graduated from Mead High School, Westmar College in LeMars, Iowa, and received his Master of Divinity from the Evangelical Theological Seminary. He served as a pastor in the United Methodist Church for 43 years.

Family members include his wife Shirley; daughters Ronda Swanson and Stephanie (Jim) Winter; grandchildren Caleb (Crystal) Swanson, Abigail (Drew) Quintana, Sophia and Livia Swanson, Ben (Joy) Winter, Sam W inter, and A aron ( Aly) Winter; great g randson B urk W illiam Winter; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Wendell (Margaret) Walkup and Shari Walkup. Preceded in death by his parents; brother Lloyd Armold; and son-in-law David R. Swanson.

Graveside service was held on Saturday, February 21, at Greenwood Cemetery in York.
