Roger Lynn Brodbeck was born July 1,1939, in rural Elsie. He passed away October 5, 2024 at Great Plains Health in North Platte. Cremation was chosen and a graveside service was held at Grant-Fairview Cemetery on Friday, October 11, 2024 with Pastor Curt Magelky officiating.

Katherine M. “Katie” Anderson, 95 and Norris Dale Anderson, 89 Katherine Mae “Katie” Anderson passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 26, 2024.

Stanley McKimmey was born on July 16th, 1953 to Katherine and Stanley McKimmey Sr. at Mullen, NE. He joined five siblings and resided in Seneca, NE. When Stanley was six years old, his mother passed away. Stan Sr. worked construction and was away from home much of the time, leaving the care of the two youngest boys to their older sister. At the age of eight and in search of a more stable family life, Stanley went to live on a ranch near Dunning, NE with Miller and Helen Heller and a new sister Vickie. In 1966, another sister, Elizabeth joined the Heller family. She was four at the time and also had family connections to Seneca.

A Graveside Memorial Service for Stanley M. McKimmey, age 71 of Ainsworth, NE, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2024 in the Purdum Cemetery. A Lunch will follow at 12:00 noon in the Dunning Community Center with a Celebration of Life to follow the lunch there. Stanley McKimmey passed away September 11, 2024 at his home in Ainsworth.

Word was received of the death of Stanley Milford McKimmey, age 71, of Ainsworth, NE. Stanley McKimmey passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at his home in Ainsworth.

A Funeral Mass for Max Dean Alberts, age 60, of Spencer, NE will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spencer. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. in the Ainsworth South Cemetery in Ainsworth, Nebraska. Fr. Bernard Starman officiated.

Cynthia Louise (Giles) Smith was born on April 14, 1948, to George and Marylouise (Hanna) Giles, in Ainsworth, NE. Cindy grew up with her parents and grandparents, Charles and Astrid (Stav) Giles, on the family ranch at Elsmere, NE, and attended elementary and junior high school at Elsmere District 101 school and in 1966 she graduated from Ainsworth High School. The friendships that Cindy made in school, college, and work, lasted her entire lifetime.

Kathleen Jo (Kathy Lutz) Johnson was born Nov. 18, 1955, in Mitchell, SD. She was one of seven children born to Tom and Ruth Lutz. Kathy passed away on Oct. 13, 2023, in Chandler, AZ at the age of 67.

A Memorial Service for Cynthia L. “Cindy” Smith, age 76, of Ainsworth, NE will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ainsworth United Methodist Church. A Private Family Inurnment will occur in the Giles Cemetery at Elsmere, NE at a later date. Cindy Smith died Saturday, September 7, 2024 in the Community Memorial Health Center in Burwell, NE.
