Graveside memorial service for Kathleen (Kathy Lutz) Johnson will be held September 21 at 12:00 noon at the Grandview Cemetery in Long Pine, with a celebration of life following at the American Legion Post in Bassett.

Jeanine Anne (Lauer) Klosner, affectionately known as Jeanie, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2024, in Kearney, NE, at the age of 62, surrounded by her loved ones. Jeanie was born on July 30, 1961, at the Ainsworth Hospital in Ainsworth, NE. She was the cherished daughter of Harold Milton and Ethel Ardath (Winn) Lauer. She spent her early years on a ranch southwest of Ainsworth before the family moved to another farm outside of Ainsworth in 1967. Jeanie attended District #21 for all of her grade school years and was actively involved in 4-H. She had a deep love for horses and shared a special bond with her mare, Becky.

Memorial Services for William B. “Bill” Allen, age 91, and Alice M. (Lanz) Allen, age 86, of Bassett, NE will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024 in the Bassett Methodist Church. A Private Inurnment will be held at a later time.

Word has been received of the death of Rosalyn A. Fernau, age 70, of Ainsworth, NE.

Phillip D. Herring, 80, found his peace in the comforting arms of our Lord and was finally able to rest on August 6, 2024.

Sue Ellen Hallock was born September 18, 1946, in Ainsworth, NE, to Glen A. and Ruth G.

David (Dave) Francis Gudgel passed away on July 7, 2024, at Seven Lakes Memory Care in Loveland, CO, at the age of 85. He was the eldest child of Francis and Helen Gudgel, born on August 17, 1938, in Ainsworth.

Dean S. Jochem, 85, of Ainsworth, NE, passed away on July 28, 2024, at Brookestone View in Broken Bow, NE. Dean was born in Ainsworth, NE, on July 30, 1938, to parents Oscar and Pearl (Claver) Jochem. He and his older sister, Barbara, were raised on the ranch his father acquired in 1937. After graduating from Ainsworth High School in 1956, Dean went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1960 before returning to join his dad ranching on the family land in 1966.

Stanley Guy McNabb, age 64, passed away on July 18, 2024, in Ainsworth, NE. Stan was born on September 15, 1959, in Twin Falls, ID. He and his brother, Scott were later adopted by his parents Richard H. and Luella “Jody” (Dixon) McNabb. Stan grew up in Salt Lake City, UT and graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1978.
