The Ainsworth Wrestling Club competed in the Nebraska District 3 in O’Neill on March 4th. District 3 had 738 wrestlers competing which included 20 wrestlers from the Ainsworth Wrestling Club.

South Dakota State announces Heather Marie Lyons-Painter of Ainsworth, NE, has graduated following the summer and fall 2022 semesters. Lyons-Painter graduated with a Bachelor of Science in SDSU’s College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences..

Gage Delimont of Ainsworth, one of the seniors on the Chadron State College men’s basketball team, was honored during the Eagles’ final home game of the season on February 23rd. He will graduate from Chadron State College in May and plans to teach and coach. The Eagles finished the 2022-23 season with a 19-10 overall record and a 16-7 conference record, both the best in 20 years.

The Ainsworth Bulldogs Basketball Team had their season ended in a 59-41 loss to the Boyd County Spartans on February 24th. Number one seed Ainsworth hosted the D1-6 Subdistricts.

AHS junior Kendyl Delimont joined an elite basketball club Thursday night, March 16th, when she surpassed 1,000 career points. In addition to the landmark career points achievement, Delimont also broke the girls basketball school records for career 3-pointers, most 3-pointers in a season and most points scored in a season.

The Ainsworth Lady Bulldogs Basketball Team had its season ended with a loss to the Ord Lady Chanticleers in subdistrict finals. Ainsworth was the number one seed in the C1-10 Subdistricts and hosted subdistricts.

The Ainsworth Bulldogs hosted the Cody-Kilgore Cowboys in the last regular season game for both teams on February 17th and picked up their 10th win of the season, 70-32. The Dawgs ended the season with a 10-10 record.
