The Annual Elks Hoop Shoot was held on January 8th in Lila McAndrew Gymnasium. The Elks Hoop Shoot is for girls and boys ages 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13.

Cameryn Goochey pulls down a rebound against the Minden Lady Whippets. Goochey led the Lady Bulldogs in scoring with 13 points and had six rebounds.

After another postponed basketball game due to weather, the Ainsworth Lady Bulldogs hosted the rated Minden Lady Whippets on Friday, January 6th and lost 40-68 and traveled to Holdrege on Saturday, January 7th to pick up a win over the Lady Dusters.

The Ainsworth Bulldogs finally took to the court following the Holidays by hosting the Minden Whippets and defeating the Whippets 60-38. The first quarter was equal for both teams.

The Ainsworth Bulldogs finally got back on to the court in the Holiday Basketball Tournament in Battle Creek on December 29th and 30th. Between weather and holidays, the Dawgs had three games cancelled as well as many days of practices.

Tatum Nickless pinned Lilyanna Dziurawiec of Homer in the 110 lb. weight class.

The Ainsworth Girls Wrestling Team took to the mats in the 2022 Winnebago Lady Indian Wrestling Tournament. Forty-one teams competed in the tournament on December 29th with South Sioux City taking top honors.

Tatum Nickless, 110 lb. weight class, took third place in her weight class at the Stapleton Tournament.

The Ainsworth Girls Wrestling Team competed in the Sandhills Valley Invitational Wrestling Tournament in Stapleton on December 10th. The Ainsworth team placed fourth out of 16 teams with 77 team points.
