August 8, 2001 25 Years Ago 'Authorities Searching For Former Long Pine Man' Law enforcement authorities from Cherry County, Brown County and NE State Patrol searched for Brian Obst, former Long Pine Resident on August 5, 6 and 7. The Valentine Police Chief Dale Bessey reported that Brian Obst was in custody in a police cruiser, suspected of burglary, when he got from the back seat of the police car into the front seat and drove off with the cruiser.

The Ainsworth Senior Center has to make changes to comply with federal regulations regarding meals eaten at the Senior Center. The Area Agency on Aging in Nor fol k i n formed t h e Ainsworth Senior Center that we can no longer accept payment/ donations for meals that have not been eaten.
