New Edition of Nebraska Driver’s Manual Released

The Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles recently released a new version of the state Driver’s Manual. The Driver’s Manual is a detailed guide of all the basic principles and rules of the road that all drivers should know.

This Week In Brown County History

1897: 125 Years Ago “Considerable excitement prevailed on the streets last Saturday over the arrest of Peter Bowers, charged with violating the city ordinance which provides that a license be charged any one who does teaming* within the city limits, either by the day, piece or job.” The case was tried two days later, and Mr. Bowers was found guilty and fined $10.00, which would be several hundred dollars now.

“A Night in Monaco”

Ainsworth High School hosted its Prom festivities on April 2nd. The night started at 5:30 p.m. with the Prom Banquet, followed by music and dancing at the dance, and reached into the early hours on Sunday around 3:00 a.m., with a game show and games for prizes at Post Prom.

2022 A.H.S. State FFA Participants Good Luck At State Convention

Qualifying for the State FFA Convention on April 6th through 8th in Ag Demonstration was the team of (Left to Right): Makenna Pierce, Gracie Petty, Shelly Saner and Lauren Ortner. The Ainsworth High School FFA Meat Evaluation team qualified for the State FFA Convention, which includes (Left to Right): Lura Hodge, Kadence Fletcher, Terrin Barthel and Makenzy Cheatum.

March 27 - April 2, 2022 Sunday, March 27th The Minden Police Department served a Brown County bench warrant for driving under suspension. The individual posted their $500.00 cash bond and received a court date.
