Brown County Commissioners to Meet The Brown County Commissioners will meet as a Board of Equalization on Tuesday, March 15th at 5:00 p.m., and as the Board of Commissioners at 5:15 p.m. in the Commissioner’s Room in the Courthouse.

NPPD Crews Beginning Annual Inspection of Transmission Lines

Residents around the state may soon see a helicopter or Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) trucks and UTVs near powerlines as crews begin their annual Spring inspection of the transmission system. NPPD wants residents to be aware of this process, which involves looking at every component on every transmission structure, across the state, over the next couple of months.

Gov. Ricketts Signs Coronavirus Vaccine Exemption Legislation

Governor Pete Ricketts signed LB 906e into law on February 28th. LB 906e allows Nebraskans to claim medical or religious exemption from coronavirus vaccination requirements in most workplaces. The bill has an emergency clause and will take effect at 12:01 AM on March 1, 2022.
