AHS FFA Members Pick and Sell Sweet Corn to Raise Money for FFA Scholarships

Ainsworth High School FFA members picked and sold fresh, local sweet corn outside of GroVantage on the east edge of Ainsworth from July 29th to August 7th. The corn was donated by GroVantage, and the money is used to create scholarships for outgoing seniors. In the above photo, Kimmi Arens, Gracie Petty and Alyssa Erthum unload and prepare sweet corn so it can be sold.

In others, extended families spill over, 20 or 30 of them gathered behind the selfie station frame, nearly blocking the entire view of the park, but capturing a treasured moment to share in the future.

Legislative Notes

We face several challenges in filling law enforcement vacancies in Nebraska. This problem is growing and is something that I believe will require new legislation next session.
