As spring and summer months are the primary tick season in Nebraska, the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) urges all residents to be mindful of ticks and protect themselves from tickborne diseases such as Ehrlichiosis, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, and Lyme disease.

Ainsworth Farm Service Agency Reminds Producers to File Crop Acreage Reports

Agricultural producers who have not yet completed their crop acreage reports after planting should make an appointment with the Ainsworth U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) as soon as possible, ahead of the upcoming July 15 acreage certification deadline.

“Battle of the Ages” Softball Game

Local Ainsworth Men’s Softball Team “Chaos” challenged the First Class Auto Team to a young vs old softball double header on May 20th. In Game 1, First Class Auto edged Team Chaos 12 -11.

Early Intervention

It has been a few years since my children were babies! Having spent my youth as a babysitter and a career in pediatrics, I was pretty comfortable in watching the development of babies, toddlers and young children. ( Teenagers are another story for another day!!) That isn’t always the case for young parents who may not have experience with this age group.
