Ainsworth Senior Center Celebrates 45 Years

Forty-five years ago on August 2, 1981, the Ainsworth Senior Center held an open house to celebrate their new building. Senior Center officers in 1981 were Dorothy Walton, Bill Gudgel, Dwight Moody, Burdetta Jansen and George Brede.

Area Fire Departments Respond to Friday Night Fire

A Friday night fire destroyed a building in Ainsworth. According to Ainsworth Assistant Fire Chief Devin Painter, at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Ainsworth Community Schools Begins Classes on Thursday, August 13

Ainsworth Community Schools will open its doors to students for the 2026-27 school year on Thursday, August 13. The school has a host of new employees beginning this year.
Ainsworth Reclaims Border Cup

Ainsworth recaptured the Border Cup Saturday at the Ainsworth Golf Course, winning the annual match play event between members of the Ainsworth Golf Course and Bassett Country Club by a score of 15-1/2 to 9-1/2.

Question: How do I start raspberries from cuttings? When choosing the stems to use as cuttings, pick year old stems with four or five leaf nodes. If leaves are present, remove the bottom two or three leaves, this is where the roots will develop.

Carol Woods has a few bare spots in her yard and can finally see her concrete driveway as the snow has melted off. We were Blessed with this moisture. It appears Spring is on the way as the maple tree is budding and the tulips are peaking thru. Next weekend is the Daylight Savings Time change. However, with the heavy fog later last evening it appears the weather is unsettled.
