Sandhills Rod & Gun Club Fall Trap League

After four weeks of good weather the Fall Trap League at the Sandhills Rod and Gun Club comes to and end. Open skeet shooting will go on for the next two Wednesday nights starting at 5:00 p.m.

Ainsworth Cross Country Girls Win West Holt Invite

The Ainsworth Girls Cross Country team got back into the winning column after competing at the West Holt Invite on Thursday, September 29th. Four high school girls, along with medal earning performances from four other Bulldog harriers, highlighted the day as Ainsworth concluded the Invite portion of the season. The tune-up saw many personal bests and positives as the Bulldogs move into the conference, district and state meets during the month of October.

State Plan Approved for Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Network

Nebraska’s plan to create a network of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations as part of the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program has been approved by the US Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT). As a result, Nebraska will receive approximately $6 million per year for the next five years for EV charging stations. The plan will be reviewed and evaluated on a yearly basis. Nebraska will also be able to compete for a portion of an additional $2.5 billion in discretionary grant funding.

Sheriff’s Report

September 25 - October 1, 2022 Sunday, September 25th Provided traffic control for a cattle crossing on Highway 20, near mile marker 228. Responded to a request for an accident report involving a broken windshield in a parked vehicle.
