Remember to Look Up and Look Out for Powerlines This Harvest Season

Harvest is getting underway for many farmers across the state, and area power utilities want to remind equipment operators to look up and look out for powerlines as they head back out to the field. Equipment operators are encouraged to keep their machines 20 feet away from powerlines to avoid the possibility of any electricity arcing from the line to the equipment.

The ranchers are busy weaning calves. I heard that on Monday morning that it got down to 31 degrees southwest of Johnstown. I guess our growing season is about over for this year.

Ainsworth Cross Country Teams Compete at Ord

The Ainsworth Cross Country team continued their season by picking up four high school medals and two middle school medals at the Ord Invitational. Junior Katherine Kerrigan led the way for the Bulldogs, winning her first individual title of the season. The score-four format did not allow the Bulldogs to have a team score for the third straight week.
