The Ainsworth Bulldog Football Team opened their 2024 season on the road Friday, August 30th. The Bulldogs traveled to Hartington to play the Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats in a non-conference game and came away with a 34-54 loss.

On Thursday, August 29th, the Ainsworth golf team hosted a 9-hole tournament after a significant lightning delay at the beginning of the day. This was a great opportunity for all members of the golf team to experience tournament competition.

The Ainsworth Lady Bulldogs hosted a Volleyball Jamboree for Cody-Kilgore, Valentine, Sandhills- Theford and Ainsworth on August 27th. Each match was two sets, with no tie breakers being played.

The Ainsworth High School Football and Volleyball teams held their annual Sports Drinks Scrimmages this past week to give parents and other sports enthusiasts a look at the teams prior to the upcoming seasons.

After the last golf ball was tee’d up and the last ball was putted, the Ainsworth Women’s Golf League for 2024 finished up their season at the Ainsworth Municipal Golf Course on Wednesday, August 21st.

Over thirty golfers participated in the Paul’s Revenge Golf Outing on Sunday, August 25th at the Ainsworth Golf Course. With a $30.00 entry fee, that will be used for course improvements, the golfers were treated to very difficult pin placements.

Nick Martin shot a three-under round of 33 to lead golfers in the final week of Ainsworth Men’s League on Thursday, August 15th at the Ainsworth Golf Course. Robert Magill Graig Kinzie posted rounds of one-under 35s.

A record number of volleyball programs have earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT. More than 1,400 collegiate and high school volleyball programs maintained a year-long gradepoint average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale), to earn the award for their classroom excellence during the recently completed academic year.
