The Ainsworth Cross Country Teams competed in the O’Neill Cross Country Invitational on September 15th at the O’Neill Country Club. The Ainsworth Girls Team took second place with 30 team points.

Katherine Kerrigan placed first with a time of 19:38.10.

The Ainsworth Cross Country Teams were in Ord for the Ord Invitational on Friday, September 22nd at Ord Golf Course. The Ainsworth Girls Cross Country Team brought home first place as a team.

Ainsworth Bulldogs Win Fifth Football Game With Defeat of CWC, 80-8

The Ainsworth Bulldogs won their fifth football game of the season with an 80-8 defeat over the Chambers Wheeler Central Renegades on September 24th and continued their undefeated season. Using four quarterbacks, seven ball carriers and five receivers, the Bulldogs gained a total of 519 yards and scored 80 points.

KBR Rodeo Club Ends Fall Season

The KBR Rodeo Club competed in the North Platte Rodeo on September 17th. This was the last high school rodeo of the fall season.

Fall turkey season is approaching quickly and the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has some reminders for hunters, as there are several changes in 2023. The changes concerning this fall season are: The fall turkey season is October 1st through November 30th.

2023 Brown County Fair Horse Show Results

The Brown County Fair Horse Show was held on Saturday, September 3rd at the Brown County Fair Grounds in Johnstown. Open Horse Show Stallions Travee Hobbs had the only stallion and received first place for her Weanling Stallion which was also named Grand Champion.

Up against a tough West Holt team, Karli Kral (11) and Gracyn Painter (22) go up for the block.

Ainsworth Bulldogs win two matches and drop one last week. On Tuesday, September 12th, the Dawgs were defeated on their home court in four sets against the West Holt Huskies, 20-25, 1125, 25-20 and 18-25.

Owen Blumenstock takes the ball around the left end on the first play from scrimmage for the Bulldogs and scores on a 58 yard run.
