Brown County Commissioners Discuss Charges for Pulling Out Stuck Vehicles

During the regular meeting of the Brown County Commissioners on January 16th, the commissioners discussed setting a fee for the county having to assist people who become stuck or stranded during snow storms.
The Snow Keeps Piling Up

Since Christmas, the snow keeps piling up. Recent snow and strong winds have caused major drifting over Brown County and has been keeping the Brown County Road Department busy trying to open roads.
Machine Shed is Total Loss at Dan Clapper Ranch

Area fire departments were called to the Dan Clapper Ranch to a machine shed fire on Sunday, January 21st. The fire call came in at 2:25 p.m. and fire departments headed to the Clapper Ranch located 15 miles south of Johnstown.
Cost of Postage Increased January 21st

The cost to mail your letters through the United States Postal Service increased on January 21st. The new rates include a 2-cent increase on the price of a First-Class Mail Forever stamp from 66 cents to 68 cents.
