On Saturday, April 9th, six students from Ainsworth Middle School competed at the state level of the National History Day contest. The contest was held at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln.

On Saturday, April 9th, our local TeamMates Chapter took Mentors and Mentees to Lincoln for the Red-White Spring Game. Although it was a long bus ride, we had a great day and the weather was perfect. Some people had been to multiple games, and for some, it was their first trip to Memorial Stadium. We are blessed to be able to participate in this group activity again! The TeamMates Executive Office offers tickets to their Mentors and Mentees at a reduced cost to make this event possible.

Taco or Chef Salad Available Thursday, April 21st: Liver and onions/beef, cubed potatoes, corn, applesauce, bread and milk. Friday, April 22nd: Salmon patty, cheesy hash browns, green beans, mandarin oranges, roll and milk.

Thought for the week: The terms “tomorrow” and “smart” are alike due to the fact tomorrow never comes. This past week has been cold and windy.

The Ainsworth American Legion and Legion Auxiliary #79 co-sponsored the Easter Egg Hunt at East City Park on Saturday, April 16th. It was estimated that 125 children took part in this event. Over 800 plastic eggs were hidden with candy, money and notes that they won a special prize. The Easter Bunny had help hiding the eggs from (Front Row - Left to Right): Alyssa Erthum and the Easter Bunny; (Middle Row - Left to Right): Preslyn Goochey, Briley Naprstek, Gracyn Sisson and Reagan Moody; and (Back Row - Left to Right): Madelyn Goochey, Willa Flynn, Jordyn Beatty, Payton Moody and Maia Flynn.
