High School Rodeo Athletes From Across Nebraska Head to Hastings for State Finals

The entry list has been set for the Nebraska State High School Finals Rodeo, to be held in Hastings June 17-19 at the Adams County Fairgrounds. Over 150 high school rodeo athletes will compete in thirteen events.

The team of Cam Palmer, Scott Steinhauser and Jon Alderson remain in the lead of Men’s League Golf with a team score of 18 points after the third week of League Golf on Thursday, June 10th. The team of Marty Graff, Chuck Whittney and Noah Graff edged into second place with a team score of 16 points.

President’s and Deans’ Lists Released at Northeast Community College

Northeast Community College has released the President’s Honor List and Deans’ Honor List for both full and part-time students for the Spring 2021 semester. To be named to the President’s Honor List, students must earn a grade point average of 4.0 and be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours.

Ainsworth Community Schools Receive Updates Over the Summer

Ainsworth Community Schools is currently undergoing significant updates to the school building throughout the summer. McAndrew Gymnasium is receiving the bulk of the remodel: the walls and ceiling were painted during the month of April, and gym floor removal began after school let out in May and is still in progress as of Monday, June 14th.

Game & Parks Commission Approves Mountain Lion, River Otter Seasons

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission approved a 2021 river otter harvest season and a 2022 mountain lion hunting season at its June 11th meeting in Chadron. The Nebraska River Otter Management Plan was adopted by the Commission.
