Ainsworth Students Clean Up Around Brown County for Community Betterment Day on Friday April 30th

Ainsworth Community Schools held Community Betterment Day on Friday, April 30th. Instead of classes, students ventured into their community to paint, weed, shovel, pick up garbage, remove branches and leaves, and more. Community Betterment Day has historically been Ainsworth FFA’s way of preparing for High School Graduation, and now the entire school, from Kindergarten to Senior Class, participates.

Ainsworth Lions Club Cleans Up Two Miles of Highway 20

It’s that time of year again for trash pickup time. The Ainsworth Lions Club adopted the highway two miles east of Ainsworth. On Sunday, May 2nd, 15 members helped pick up trash that had collected along Highway 20. Lions Clubs worldwide participate in service projects that benefit their communities. Ainsworth Lions Club continues to do just that!

Ainsworth Golf Team Competes in Triagular and West Holt Invitational

The Ainsworth Golf Team competed in a Triangular on April 29th in Bassett between Valentine, North Central and Ainsworth. Valentine took top team honors with a team score of 177 with Ainsworth placing second as a team with 215.

Jolyn Pozehl Preparing for Trip to Florida for AAU Wrestling Scholastic Duals

The past several weeks Jolyn Pozehl, an 8th grader at Ainsworth Community Schools, has been busy during her club wrestling season. Pozehl placed first at the Nebraska AAU State in Kearney and first at the Nebraska USA State in Grand Island.
