Olivia Beel Receives Awards at the State Fair

Olivia Beel was awarded the Livestock Achievement Award in both Beef and Swine Projects. Olivia received these awards Sunday, August 28th at the Nebraska Stare Fair Final Drive ceremony. This award celebrates the accomplishments of 4-H members.

Ainsworth Men’s League Golf

Nick Martin carded a two-under par round to lead golfers in the Ainsworth Men’s Golf League on Thursday, August 25th. Three golfers shot one-under par 35s. They were Cordell Nilson, Brett Knoetzel and Doug Weiss.

The AHS Girls Golf Team Had a Busy Week of Competition

On Tuesday, August 23rd, all four girls were able to compete on the same scramble team against other area school teams. The foursome carded a 93 on 18 holes, which was good for a 5th place finish out of the 6 varsity teams.

Ainsworth Golfers Defeat Valentine Golfers In Rolling Rock Competition For Fourth Straight Year

On Sunday, August 28th, Ainsworth’s Rolling Rock Team captured the Rolling Rock for the fourth straight year, scoring a 16-9 victory over Valentine at Frederick Peak Golf Course. In the annual match play event featuring the top golfers from the Ainsworth and Valentine courses, Ainsworth jumped out to a 3-2 lead in the scramble round, and scored 3-1/2 points in the alternate shot round to push its lead to three at 6-1/2 to 3-1/2.
