This past weekend was the Brown County Fair. Serving this area for 87 years, the Brown County Ag Society continues to bring in cowboys and cowgirls to be in their rodeos, hold its annual parade, provide fun games for all ages, the chore of selecting some good live entertainment to dance to, offering a variety of food choices, showcasing exhibits from Brown County residents and doing the best they can to have a great time to bring the members of the county and surrounding area together. This year the fair was held without the really hot, hot temperatures which allowed more people to attend that can’t handle the hot weather.

Construction Continues on Highway 20 Project Thru Ainsworth

Following the Labor Day Weekend, A&R Construction closed Oak and Ash Street intersections on Tuesday, September 6th for crossing traffic in preparation for placement of concrete pavement on Wednesday, September 7th. The required concrete for this segment is 315 cubic yards.

Ainsworth FFA Hired Hand Auction Raises Over $23,000.00

The Ainsworth FFA Chapter held its Annual Hired Hand Auction on Tuesday evening, August 30th. It was a great fundraiser as the FFA students were individually auctioned off to the highest bidders and in return the students would put in one - eight hour day of work of the bidders choice.
