Question: Will a Northern Pecan Tree grow in our area? The northern pecan, Carya illinensis, is safe through zone 5 or to a temperature of negative 20. However, according to UNL arborists, they will survive a non-sustained temperature of 35 below zero. Meaning that temperature is not reached more than one night in a row.
Ainsworth Speech Team Places Third Out of Eight Teams at West Holt Speech Invitational

The Ainsworth Speech Team saw a day of demanding competition at the West Holt Speech invitational on Saturday, February 5th. The Varsity Team placed third out of eight teams, and the team had a great opportunity to compete with new competitors.
