If you are outside on a clear January night, it’s hard not to notice one distinctive star pattern above all: Orion! While we’ve covered Orion in earlier articles, we’ve never discussed observing the constellation as a whole. Perhaps you’ve received a new telescope, camera, or binoculars, and are eager to test it out. Orion, being large, prominent, and full of interesting, bright objects, is a perfect constellation to test out your new equipment and practice your observing skills - for beginners and seasoned stargazers alike.

The scheduled 60 days will be long on ideas, but probably short on controversial rhetoric, at least from senators who stand for re-election lest they offend their constituents or tip their hand to opponents.

The Ainsworth United Methodist Church offered a traditional Christmas dinner to the public on Saturday, December 25th. People had to register early for their meals, and pickup of their dinner was on Christmas Day from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The church parishioners prepared and packaged the food for takeout and served over 175 dinners.
