New Generator Installed at Sandhills Care Center

Early in 2021, the Ainsworth/Brown County Interlocal Board made an application to the USDA for grant funds to replace the emergency electrical generator at the Sandhills Care Center. Following all the applications, reviewing of bids and COVID-19 delays, the new generator was set in place on Friday, September 29th.

If you enjoy watching golf on TV, this past weekend you could have watched some of the best golfers compete in the 2020 Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits along Lake Michigan. The United States, with its 12 young members, took on the 12 best golfers from Europe, and handed them a big defeat of 19-9.

LB 188 is a bill introduced by Sen. Steve Halloran in the first session of the 107th Legislature. It was referred to the Government, Military & Veteran Affairs Committee which I chair. This bill would prohibit any agent or employee of the State of Nebraska or any political subdivision from participating in the enforcement of any federal directive regarding a firearm, firearm accessory, or ammunition that does not exist under Nebraska state law.
