Alyssa Erthum of Ainsworth has been selected to attend the American Legion Auxiliary Cornhusker Girls State through a virtual format. Erthum was selected based on selection criteria through Ainsworth American Legion Auxiliary Unit #79. Erthum will study local, county and state government processes in this nonpartisan political learning experience.

Chandler Schmidt, Watershed Coordinator for Middle Niobrara Natural Resources District (MNNRD) has provided the following Long Pine Creek Watershed (LPCW) updates. SD14 Rehabilitation Project: The MNNRD along with JEO Consulting Group and Buer Bulldozing through grant funding with Nebraska Environmental Trust (NET) and Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE), have completed the SD14 Rehabilitation project, north of Ainsworth, NE on Sand Draw Creek.
