On Monday, June 23, the Team Jack Foundation will host its fourth annual Team Jack Golf Classic, presented by Omaha Steaks for the second consecutive year. As a valued partner, Omaha Steaks will once again provide an on-course experience like no other as well as the postevent reception.

The Nebraska School Activities Association announced the student recipients of the Spring Academic All-State Awards. Since 2006 this NSAA Awards Program has recognized students who meet the criteria for nomination by their school in the season of their activity.

Nebraska Game and Parks reminds outdoors enthusiasts that dogs are not allowed on state wildlife management areas from May 1 through July 31, except in “authorized dog training areas.” The seasonal restriction aims to protect wildlife during breeding and nesting season. Authorized dog training areas are marked by signage; other than in these designated areas, it is unlawful to exercise, run, train or hunt with dogs on the property.

The Stand With Women Act, introduced on Govorner Pillen’s behalf by Sen. Kathleen Kauth, requires that students in K-12 and postsecondary school participate on sports teams that correspond to their biological sex, as defined in law. Pillen and Kauth were joined in the bill signing event by Husker athletes Jordy Bahl and Rebekah Allick, who attended the bill’s introduction back in January, as well as nationally known advocate-athletes Riley Gaines and Payton McNabb.
